Speaker 1:

Hello, my leader. Today we're getting into the three things you need to start and stop doing to quantum leap your results. And what I mean by quantum leap is simply make that transformation no more trying to do something or working towards something that never seems to happen. Three things you need to start and stop doing. These are critical and when I tell you them, you're going to be like oh, this is really logical, Stick around, it's going to be a good one.

Speaker 1:

In my life. There have been pivotal moments where I have made absolute 180s in my life, and these are moments where I wasn't working towards something. I made a change and immediately my physical world, the results that I was seeing, started to change, and today we're going to talk about what. Do you need to do that? Because a problem that happens often in the world of personal development or personal growth or in anyone that is moving towards a life that is ambitious, someone who wants to achieve goals. What can happen is this constant working towards something, but the results are very minimal or they take just years upon years. And I'm not saying that we don't need to be patient and we should expect things to just snap our fingers and for them to happen, because some changes are going to take a long time, and it really is about the journey. However, what I'm speaking to today is less about that and more about making sure that you're not in a loop where you're unintentionally sabotaging the results that you want, either through fears, or you're just in a habit loop and you're in this constant state. You know, when people say things such as oh, I'm manifesting this, I'm manifesting this. Often there is a problem there, that you're in this loop of constantly trying but it's not getting anywhere because you're not actually making the changes necessary to allow that change to come into your life. So let's get into it. Ultimately, you want a different set of results because you believe that you will feel better once you get those results. So if you are working towards, let's say, I'm going to use our body because people can relate to this across the board. Because people can relate to this across the board, if you have a certain goal, a workout goal, or maybe you're trying to lose weight, release weight or gain weight, you believe that you're going to feel better in having that result. We want to feel better now. We don't want to have to wait to get a result, to feel that excitement or feel proud of ourselves or feel that we are beautiful or healthy. And this can be very challenging because we are attached to seeing things in the physical. If I can give you one thing in this episode, it is internal matters. Okay, the internal self, how we feel about ourself, the energy that we're in, matters so much more than seeing it in the external. If we're waiting to see something in the external, this is when we get into these loops that can just last for so long. And it's like you are waiting for this result and it's out in the horizon and you keep doing these things but you're never getting closer. And you keep doing these things but you're never getting closer. Right, that goal is never getting closer.

Speaker 1:

I need you to start feeling these feelings, these elevated feelings of what you are desiring now. So that means, if you are thinking about an outfit you're going to wear, or thinking about an outfit you're going to wear, or thinking about what you're going to do when you're at this certain goal, whatever it is, I want you to start to ask yourself how can I start feeling that now? What do I need to do in my day-to-day to feel that result and then do it, start implementing it? This takes deeper work. Okay, you may need to do some journaling on it. You may need to do some visualization and get yourself into that energy. Feel better now. Okay, that one's a little less tangible, but it's really, really important. One of the times I remember that I just started becoming a manifesting magnet was when I prioritized feeling really grateful for everything that I had, and just grateful for the world around me, and that doesn't mean I was avoiding feeling all the feels of being a human, but I prioritized feeling grateful and I started attracting things into my life, like I was literally a sticky tape and everything was just being attracted to me.

Speaker 1:

Okay, getting into the next one. Stop working towards something and be the person now. Working towards something as if you are working towards an identity keeps you in a perpetual loop. Trying to get there. It's always outside of yourself. It's always somewhere out there. You know, I'm working towards being in this position in my career, or I'm working towards this person in my business. I'm working towards Now. Again, this isn't to say that we don't have goals, that we are long-term working towards. That's fine, but I need you to be in the identity of that person now.

Speaker 1:

I just told this story to one of my clients the other day. When I first started training for my marathon, I wasn't a person who was working towards being the person who could run a marathon. As soon as I signed up for that thing, I became a marathon runner. That meant that I was eating and breathing and sleeping. That identity and guess what it the gap of me being someone who could barely run down the street without needing to call a taxi to pick her up and bring her home to the marathon runner. It closed the gap very quickly. If I had gone into that experience and said you know I'm working toward it could have taken years. It could have taken years and years, as opposed to taking a few months.

Speaker 1:

So this is if you want to really get radically honest with yourself. If you have had goals or if you have set certain milestones and it just feels like, year after year, nothing is really moving the needle, and you have this goal and it's great because you're being really dedicated and committed to it, but you're like what is happening? When is this actually going to happen? And this happens so often in the personal development world. You know I see people going into and I've been guilty of this myself, so I'm not passing judgment.

Speaker 1:

We can fall into these loops where it's another course, we're buying or we're going to another seminar or we're doing the next thing, and we're always looking outside of ourselves, thinking that that's the answer, that's the next step. This is the one thing that I need to close that gap, and we're doing it in the same identity that is far away from the results that we want, and this creates this ridiculous loop. I need you to be in the identity of the person that already has the results. This is going to take you getting very clear. Get out a paper and a pen and write out this is the goal I have. Who do I need to become to achieve this goal? This is for anything. This is for your big business and career goals. This could even be for achieving a goal in your hobby. Who do you need to become? How do they behave? What do they believe? What actions do they take? What do they believe? What actions do they take? You know?

Speaker 1:

Going back to my marathon example, I had to again eat, breathe and sleep like a marathon runner. I couldn't be, you know, eating and sleeping and being. You know, oh, you know, at some point I'm going to start training. At some point I'm going to start doing these things. I'm going to start. Then the race would have come and I would have nothing in place. I would have no training under my belt. I wouldn't be fueled. I wouldn't be fueled. I hope this is making sense, because it really is simple when you can become that person now and you can literally snap your fingers and become the person now.

Speaker 1:

Let me tell you the changes that I've made. The transformations I've made in my life have literally been overnight. For me, a lot of those changes were me hitting a rock bottom moment and then immediately you know being I am done and making these radical changes literally that day. But you don't need to hit a rock bottom moment. You can get honest with yourself, look at the results you're getting or not getting and be okay. Why is this not happening? Why are the changes not really coming to par or why is there a gap? Why have I gotten to a certain point, but that last 10% just seems like it's not moving. The needle's not moving.

Speaker 1:

Who do I need to become? And the challenging part is you're going to have to make new decisions. You're going to have to take new actions. You cannot take the same actions and sometimes, a lot of times, this is courageous new actions. It's not necessarily oh, I'm going to learn more about this. It is. I got to do this. And if you're having challenges with this, get a coach, hire someone that's going to keep you accountable. Often it's not your friend Sally that's going to really hold you to making these big, courageous changes. Sometimes it takes investing to do it. Okay, so become the person. Now. Stop working towards something in the old identity, because it just perpetuates the old identity, the old results, the old way of doing things. Okay, and last but not least, have more fun, please. Okay, have more fun.

Speaker 1:

I work with a lot of driven A-type personalities. A lot of them are very driven. A lot of them do not have fun. Okay, this has been a goal of mine over the last few years to ignite more fun into the work I'm doing, into my day to day. Why? Because fun has been scientifically proven not only to have benefits on our creativity, but just a wealth of other benefits. And when we are feeling good, when we are feeling happy, okay, I mean, I'm in a course right now the Science of Happiness. I'm taking it with the Berkeley, I believe it's called the Science of actually, you know, I'm not going to say the name because I'm not sure the Berkeley, I believe it's called the science of actually, you know, I'm not going to say the name because I'm not sure the department. But anyways, I'm taking the course and it's just. You know, I always knew that fun and happiness had a lot of benefits, but the benefits are massive, including the benefits that we want in our life and in the work that we do. So you having more fun is going to not only make you feel better, it's actually going to impact your work in a positive way.

Speaker 1:

So if you feel like you're kind of in this loop and you're just like, okay, I keep working towards something. It's not really happening, I'm just not really enjoying it, what can you do to put more fun into your day? Fun is gonna open up your creativity. Okay, this is gonna help to magnetize people to you, opportunities to you. It's gonna open the door to a whole new realm. I do this experiment a lot.

Speaker 1:

Anytime that I'm feeling great, I'll pay attention to who I'm attracting, what are the opportunities I'm attracting, and when I'm not feeling so great I'm attracting. And when I'm not feeling so great, what do I attract into my life? And again, this is not to we're not talking about toxic positivity. So, ignoring feelings like anger or sadness or grief, et cetera, and always trying to put on a smiling face through the pain, no, trying to put on a smiling face through the pain, no. But we want to start to intentionally make an assessment of our day and if there are things we can add into our day that are going to bring in more fun, bring in more creativity that are going to add to our genuine happiness. Our genuine happiness, such as if we are someone who really loves to give to others. Right Giving has been proven to increase happiness. Let's put some of that in our day intentionally. To sum it up, you know, if we were to sum up all of these three things, if you make an intentional decision to show up as a person who already has these results that you're working towards and you get clear what does this person need to think, what does this person need to believe, what actions are this person taking, and you start implementing this, the results that you see will be mind-blowing. I promise you that.
