Speaker 1:It is Saturday morning when I am recording this, my coffee maker has just conked out. I think it is a gonzo Funny thing. When I was checking my receipt because I thought I had an extended warranty on the coffee machine, I would have sworn sworn. If you asked me that I bought this machine maybe two years ago, I was asking myself and questioning did I buy it last year? No, I think it's two years, maybe in 2023. And when I went to check the receipt, I actually bought it in 2021.
Speaker 1:That goes to show you how fast time is going, and I'm not telling you this to give you a panic attack around how fast time is going or to make you feel pressured or anxious, but to shine a spotlight on and remind you that if you're waiting on stuff to do, stuff that matters to you, to make the changes that are important to you, that there's no time like the present, because we don't know right how much time we have on this planet, and I don't say that to be a Debbie Downer, but I believe that you can do anything, including change radically your confidence, at any age. I don't care if you're freaking 105. As long as you're on the planet, it's for a purpose and you can still do any of the things that you want to do. But reality is we do have a limited amount of time on this planet. If your goal is to increase your confidence, because you know that is going to have a radical effect on your life, please listen to these three unconventional ways to shift into radical confidence in the next seven days, because confidence is truly everything, and when I speak about confidence, especially in my programs and my coaching, what I'm really referring to is true magnetism, confidence at its core.
Speaker 1:A lot of people think that they need help with confidence, but really what they need is help with their self-esteem, and when we align our self-esteem to our confidence, what we get is absolute magnetism. And this is when life gets a lot more fun and you start magnetizing to you opportunities and people and you show up and you walk into rooms and people take notice this Now you may not like that. If very introverted and you like your space, then you may not like all eyes on you, but you will start to magnetize people to you. And in this episode we're going to go through three unconventional ways to truly step into this energy, because it's not only going to change your life radically, it's also really fun to be in this energy Because I believe that when we come into this world we are confident, we are fully in our essence and it's the stories and it's the experiences and it's all that stuff that gets piled on us over the years that can dim that confidence, that can dim that self-esteem, and it's unraveling all that stuff, all that crap that has this magnetizing effect.
Speaker 1:First one, first unconventional way to radically shift your confidence in seven days. I want you to dress and stand like your energy is worth noticing. This is a magnetic dressing and posture protocol. I can't tell you how much your confidence is going to shift simply by shifting your posture, literally shoulders back, standing up tall. There's nothing easier than getting a quick confidence boost, especially if you need it really quick, if you're going into a meeting or you're walking in to your date it's the first date or you're needing to make a phone call, then you stand up tall, spread your feet out a little bit nothing crazy, shoulders back, shoulders back, head up. You're not only going to feel taller, you're going to feel more powerful. If you're listening and you can do that right now, please stand up and do this. This is about you connecting to the full power of you, and we cannot be in our full authentic power when we are hunched over. And there's no judgment. My posture is definitely not great. I need to constantly be doing exercises and practices because I'm on the computer so much. It's really easy. Our lifestyle, especially in North America, really promotes terrible posture, so we want to be consciously and actively shifting our posture. It's going to have a massive effect on how people perceive you and how you feel about yourself. Okay, so that's number one. It is the magnetic stance and it's super easy. It's literally you just standing with really great posture and when you do this, I am safe to be seen, I am safe to lead with presence.
Speaker 1:Now let's talk about dressing. The way you dress is huge. The way you dress is huge and it often reflects how you feel about yourself. So you can dress in very comfy clothes, casual comfy clothes that either make you feel really good or make you feel really frumpy. So it's not always about dressing up, because I know I'm going to hear people that are saying but Lisa, I work from home and I don't want to dress up in suits or dress up in a blouse and dress, pants or a dress or all this stuff because it's not that comfortable, etc. Etc. You can dress in very comfortable, casual clothes that still, equally, make you feel fabulous. Or you can dress in clothes that make you feel frumpy and dumpy, in clothes that make you feel frumpy and dumpy and I have a closet of clothes that make me feel frumpy, but those are clothes that I tend to wear when I'm going to bed because they're really cozy and I like them, but they do not do anything for my confidence levels.
Speaker 1:When I am wearing something that I feel truly powerful in, my confidence goes through the roof. I remember when I had one of my first jobs, when I was really proactively shifting my identity, I said to myself I want to get just a normal job at the mall, see how it is. And this was, of course, a very long time ago and I had in my closet. I actually can't remember if I bought this for that interview or I had it in my closet. I may have actually bought it for the interview, although in my memory I remember having it in my closet. But anyways, I digress. This was a power suit. This was a pinstripe suit that I wore. It fit me like a glove. Underneath, I wore a red blouse, or it was a red something. You went underneath the blazer. And let me tell you, when I walked in and had that interview with that woman, I could see instantly she was impressed, not only because I looked fantastic, but because I felt great. I felt confident. But because I felt great, I felt confident.
Speaker 1:This is the power of wearing stuff that you feel good in, not what other people tell you looks good, or what you should wear, or what you think you should wear because everyone on Instagram is wearing it, or the current trend or whatever it is, unless you feel good in the current trend, of course, authentically good. This is about wearing what truly lights you up, and you may not have any clue what that is, and that's okay, but I want you to take if you're serious about this. I want you to take this serious and either explore things on Pinterest that catch your eye, because that's a really good indication that this is something you're going to feel good into or simply explore your closet and see what's in there. You may have stuff in there that you haven't worn in forever, and maybe it's things you have that you've never worn. A combination of them, such as putting a shirt with a pair of pants or a skirt or something like that that you've never done before that is going to make you feel freaking amazing when you put it on. But I want you to have three suits three powerful, confident, not suits as in an actual suit, but three outfits. What you can do is think of it in a sense of your comfortable outfit that you can wear at home, feeling comfortable, but equally makes you feel fantastic wearing it. I want you to think about a professional outfit that when you wear like my pinstripe suit that when you wear it, you're going to feel freaking on fire wearing it, just absolutely out of this world, powerful and confident. And then something that a more dressy outfit whatever that is. It can be anything. It doesn't have to be anything dressy or elegant it can be. It can be simply something that you'd wear to a concert or out of the house and feel really great.
Speaker 1:Your three outfits First, search your closet. You may already have all this stuff. Two, if you have no idea and you're just like I don't even know where I'd start I've been wearing sweatpants for the last three years Then I want you, without any guilt, to start looking either online or in. Go to the mall. There's a lot of people in stores that will help you and take this seriously. If you haven't been feeling confident in your skin for a long time, your self-esteem may be shot. Your confidence may be shot.
Speaker 1:This is one of the fastest ways to shift this and this whole process. This is your seven-day challenge. So we got to get these outfits going. I want you to commit to it guilt-free. Treat yourself to some new clothes. If you don't have it in your closet, it doesn't have to cost a lot either. Or, if you're ready to treat yourself and spend some money on yourself, spend some money on yourself. Treat yourself to some nice outfits that make you feel extremely good in. This is the fastest way we can shift this. Again, if you're not clear what that is or you have no idea, first hit up Pinterest.
Speaker 1:Second, maybe you want to look at hiring a personal stylist. If that's completely out of your ballpark, you know what else is a really great thing? You can utilize ChatGPT. Put in ChatGPT different styles that you feel drawn to. Even if you don't know if it's going to look good on you, it doesn't matter. Treat ChatGPT like your personal stylist. Ask for recommendations. I've used ChatGPT. It even tells me the stores I can get certain looks from it's great.
Speaker 1:So that is number one, right? We're going to dress and stand like your energy is worth noticing. It's not about style, it's about energy, and dressing in a way that's authentic to you will activate that, my authentic dress. What I feel so, so good on is not trendy. It's not what most people will wear. It's a mix between 70s Harlem and 90s hip hop. I love it. I feel so in my element when I wear this style and I've been wearing this style since I was 15 years old and I remember wearing an outfit that was so true to the core of who I am when I was 15. And I remember going into stores. I was shopping with my mom and I was wearing this coat, and I remember being approached by adult women and them complimenting my style and my look and my energy. It's because of my energy when I was wearing it, it wasn't just the clothes, it wasn't just the style, it was my energy that was magnetizing those people to me. So this is what we want to do in number one.
Speaker 1:Number two this may be challenging for some of you Confidence through clean boundaries, confidence through clean boundaries Confidence part of it is built through our self-respect right, especially if we've been taught at a young age to self-abandon ourselves, which many of us have. If you're a woman listening to this, I wouldn't be surprised if you were taught that. If you're a man, especially a very heart-centered man, potentially in occupations of caregiving, likely you've been taught this as well self-abandonment for the sake of others you've been taught this as well self-abandonment for the sake of others. And we can lose our self-respect, we can lose that confidence we get. That's built through self-respect and every time you hold a boundary, you reinforce that self-trust and that respect boundary. You reinforce that self-trust and that respect, and this is a big one, especially if you haven't been honoring your boundaries, which is okay. Boundaries has been a big learning lesson for me in my life and I can tell you, when I started to honor my boundaries and started to really understand that they matter and I'm deserving of honoring my boundaries, things shifted and they shifted fast. How I saw myself shifted quite fast.
Speaker 1:Not everyone in your life is going to be on board with you honoring your boundaries, and that's okay. We're not. We don't need to go super crazy the next seven days. We can start small. So this is going to be about you honoring boundaries with yourself each day, not feeling the need to over-explain yourself, not feeling the need to, I should say, over-explain to other people and even to yourself that it's okay if you say no to a call, you know when someone's calling you and you're doing something. You don't have to jump on that call, even if you see it, you hear it ringing, you don't have to jump on. It's okay to honor yourself, honor your focus, honor your time. Maybe it is keeping a boundary with yourself when you said you're going to stop working, to stop working so you're no longer checking emails all hours of the night, you're no longer feeling on call for everybody all day, all night long. It's okay to honor those boundaries, especially if you have kids or you have family members that have gotten used to you always jumping when they need something and I'm not talking about little kids that need, you know, your care. My child is not even a child anymore, she's 20. But there's still times where she'll ask for certain things, times where she'll ask for certain things and it'll be really late at night, and it's okay for me to set a boundary. It's okay for you to set boundaries to honor your energy, honor your focus, honor your focus. Okay.
Speaker 1:So this is number two. It's starting to set clear boundaries and start with one. That's it. All you got to do is start with one. You don't even have to involve other people in this boundary. It can be for you. Maybe it's a boundary around going to sleep at night. Maybe you know that you feel really good when you go to sleep around 9 or 10 pm, and lately you've been going to sleep around 11, 12, 1, 2 o'clock. Okay, set a boundary around that. Maybe you know that your screen time is a lot higher than you want it to be and you know that's not serving you. Well, it doesn't really serve any of us, to be honest. So it's honoring a boundary and putting yourself first and foremost, your well-being. This is going to increase your confidence. Maybe it's going for a walk every day. Maybe you know that you will benefit from more movement. Okay, so that's number two. We're going to start enforcing and or reinforcing our self-trust through boundaries. And number three act on your aligned impulses before you talk yourself out of them. This is huge.
Speaker 1:Confidence is going to come from you living in integrity with your inner knowing. When we have an inner knowing, an inner nudge, and we don't honor it, we second guess, we go into overthinking rabbit holes, we allow fear programming, fear stories to stop us from doing what felt aligned and exciting. This is going to start to strip away at our trust and it's incredibly detrimental. If you are someone that knows they are quite intuitive and you do not act on that inner knowing, it gets all jumbly. We start to question if that inner nudge is true or not. We rely too much on the brain, too much on thinking. Your brain is not giving you clear information. It is regurgitating past stories, past circumstances, all the data that you've pulled throughout your life. It's just circling a whole bunch of stuff, especially if you're prone to anxieties, catastrophic thinking. If your family operates in a lot of fear, right. You're going to have all these things going on and it's going to truly hinder your confidence.
Speaker 1:High confidence comes from living in integrity with your inner knowing. So your challenge for seven days is notice where or when you get that intuitive nudge, and I want you to act on it before you logic your way out of it. This could look like you getting a nudge to send a message to someone. Follow through with that, send them the message. That. Send them the message. It could look like you saying yes to an opportunity, if you get asked or an opportunity comes and it feels really exciting, feels really expansive, and then your brain comes in and says but am I ready for this? I don't know if I'm ready for this. What if this happens? What if that happens? What if that happens? What if all these bad things happen and then you end up not doing anything?
Speaker 1:I can tell you that many of the clients who are drawn to me many of them are drawn to me. They're divine. It's divinely orchestrated. I get a ton of people that come in that tell me that. You know, I don't even know how your website popped up. I was looking for something or doing something, and then you just popped up, or I was searching for something and then I saw a blog, or I saw this random, it's never random, it's not a coincidence. When a person is in their purpose work, which I am I'm doing the work that I came here to do. We're not in it alone, right? Synchronicities are there for a reason. People are drawn to me because I am the next step to help activate them to whatever path they're meant to go on. Often, I'm just that next part of the puzzle and I'm aware of this. However, people have their own free will. So, even if someone is drawn to me, they still need to make that decision and say yes to themselves.
Speaker 1:And if fear program comes in, that fear program, if you allow it, can talk you out of anything. That's its job. Literally, that's its job. So you need to expect that when you get an intuitive nudge towards something, it doesn't mean that there's not going to be fear. In fact, oftentimes there is going to be fear because anything outside of your comfort zone, that part of you, your ego right, that part of you that is designed to keep you safe, is going to come in and it's going to start chirping, it's going to start making noise, it's going to start giving you scenarios. So in my case, the people that I work with, some of the fear program can be around investing the money. Some of the fear program can be in investing the time and effort Some of it can be in. Can I actually do this? Will this make a difference? Will I be able to show up for myself? All these different stories, all these different programs? That's all it is.
Speaker 1:So your job this week is to see those intuitive nudges and act on them before you logic it, fear it away with your mind. I don't care how small or big this is. This can be as simple as you waking up and feeling like you want to go for a walk and go get a nice tea before you jump into your work. And this is obviously more applicable if it's someone that works from home or works for themselves For my entrepreneur people here. But this can be as simple as that and what can happen is the brain can come in and say, oh, you can't do that. We have a schedule to follow. We got to be productive, we got to be at our desk by 9 am working on something or whatever your brain program. Everyone's program is different, but your job is to follow your intuitive nudges. What if you got that intuitive nudge? Because you were meant to meet someone some random not quote, unquote, random, not actually random person at the coffee shop where you would have a conversation with and they would be the perfect next step to be part of your vision, to help you in the next step of your vision?
Speaker 1:The problem is especially in North America. We're so wired to be in this path, totally outside of the natural flow and synchronicities of life, and we allow our brain to dictate all these things for us. This is why there's so much stress, anxieties, worry, hesitation, because we're operating from our brain as opposed to operating from the true inner knowing that is us, and especially if you are like my clients, my private clients and also members of the Magnetic Leader Accelerator we operate on our vision. We operate on our vision. We are always creating our life from our North Star because it anchors us into what is truly aligned with their core values. And part of the work that is really challenging especially a lot for my type A clients is allowing more of that flow into our life, because that is where the magic happens when you allow the grip that you have to soften and you allow the magic of life to happen through you, as opposed to you trying to control everything. Which how's that working for you? I know it certainly didn't work for me very well and it's quite exhausting.
Speaker 1:So I'm going to go through your three different challenges this week to amp up your confidence, to help you let go of the BS that hinders true confidence from coming through, and to have fun doing it, because this gets to be fun. So, number one you're going to dress and you're going to stand like your energy is worth noticing. Okay, this is your magnetic dressing and posture protocol. Number two creating confidence through clean boundaries, honoring your self-trust and self-respect, building that confidence through that self-respect through boundaries. And number three you're going to act on aligned impulses, without you logicking and fearing your way out of it. You're going to act on it, jicking and fearing your way out of it. You're going to act on it and this is going to radically change your life in seven days. Okay, I want you to go for it. I want you to go full on with this If you're serious about your life, you're serious about making changes and you're serious about allowing your true, authentic, confident power state to come through. Of course.
